This Privacy Policy explains how NutraWise ("we", "our", or "us") 
handles your information when you use our mobile application (the “App”).

1. Information We Collect
We do not collect any personally identifiable information from you.
However, the App requires permission to:
- Access the camera – to allow users to take photos of products. 
  These photos are temporarily sent via our secure proxy backend 
  to OpenAI for analysis (e.g., to identify the product and provide 
  relevant information). The images are not stored by us or OpenAI 
  beyond the immediate processing request and are automatically 
  deleted afterward.
- Access local photos/files – to enable users to select an avatar 
  image or upload texts for display. All selected files and avatars 
  are stored only locally on your device and are never uploaded 
  or transmitted.

All other app data (products, recipes, settings, history, etc.) 
remains exclusively on your device. We do not upload, store, or 
analyze your content on our servers unless explicitly described 
above for the product-photo feature.

2. Third-Party Services
To enable full functionality, the App integrates with the following 
third-party services:
- OpenAI – receives product photos (via our proxy) solely for 
  real-time analysis. OpenAI processes these images under its own 
  Privacy Policy[](https://openai.com/policies/privacy-and-safety).
- Our proxy backend – acts only as a secure pass-through for 
  product photos to OpenAI; no data is logged or retained.
- Optional cloud storage providers, analytics platforms, or login 
  providers (e.g., Apple, Google) if you choose to enable them. 
  These services process data under their own privacy policies.

3. Subscriptions and Purchases
The App offers subscription plans via Apple App Store and Google Play. 
These payments are handled exclusively by the respective platforms, 
and we do not access your billing information.

4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard encryption for any temporary data 
transmission (product photos). Since we do not store personal data 
on our servers and all persistent app data remains on-device, 
risks are minimal.

5. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly 
collect or process data from minors.

6. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Any changes will be posted in 
the App and/or on our website with the updated date.
